The patient needs an open encounter.
Reserve (optional)
On /dashboard/platform/inpatient hold an available bed for up to 24 hours.
Admit
Choose the encounter, attending provider, and bed.
Transfer
Pick a different available bed.
Discharge
Record the disposition. The bed moves to cleaning; mark it ready to return it to available.
