Bring a unit in

One step

intakeInventoryVehicle creates the vehicle, stock, and listing in one command.

Or through an acquisition

startInventoryAcquisition, then transitionInventoryAcquisition through appraised, approved, purchased, arrived, reconditioning, frontline (or cancelled), then establishInventoryStock.

Trade-ins

A trade-in can be sent to inventory as an acquisition. See Trade-ins.

Keep the unit current

  • moveInventoryStock: location moves
  • recordInventoryCost: acquisition and recon costs
  • openInventoryReconWorkItem, transitionInventoryReconWorkItem: open, in-progress, completed, cancelled
  • updateInventoryVehicleDetails: identity and spec edits
  • addInventoryVehiclePhoto, arrangeInventoryVehiclePhotos, removeInventoryVehiclePhoto. Image URLs must start with https:// or /. "Photos changed; reload and try again"
  • Condition report and vehicle history are edited on the vehicle page (VehicleConditionReport, VehicleHistory). Condition must be new, used, or certified.

Merchandising

updateInventoryMerchandisingDraft, submitInventoryMerchandising, then decideInventoryMerchandising approves or rejects the version. A vehicle appears on the storefront only when its current revision is approved, recon is complete, it is frontline, and its status is available. Price changes append PriceHistory.

Vehicle status

available, pending (reserved when a deal is submitted), sold (on delivery), service.

Feed

recordInventoryFeedRun records a run; /vehicles/feed lists runs and errors. See Integrations.
